This is a capital construction project focused on upgrading cathodic protection systems for select underground electrical circuits. For Circuit 138-673/674AB, the project involves replacing an existing battery-based system with a new Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system. Key activities include deep-well drilling, installation of MMO tubular anodes, mounting an air-cooled rectifier on LIPA #15, implementing surge protection with Isolation Surge Protection (ISP) devices, and running DC and positive header cables via trenching.
