FBD Vanguard Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from all certified SBE/Micro-SBE firms for the following items of work including but not limited to:

Mobilization, Traffic and Pedestrian Control System, Construction Progress Schedule, QC/QA Program, ESCAPE and
Escape Implementation, Remove Concrete Sidewalk, Remove 8.5" PCC Bus Pad Pavement with/without Monolithic
Curb, Remove Concrete (Wall), Remove Concrete (Curb), Remove Asphalt Concrete, Remove Traffic Stripe and
Pavement Marking, Remove and Dispose 4' Fence Panel, Clear and grub, Repair Spalled Surface Area (Wall), Install
Sign Panel on Existing Post, Install Roadside Sign panel - One Post, Concrete Bus Pavement, Concrete Sidewalk,
Concrete Curb and Gutter (Type A2- 6), Concrete Curb (A1-6) / Concrete Retaining Curb, Concrete Curb Ramp, Hot
Mix Asphalt (Type A), Yellow Detectable Warning Surface, Surface applied Detectable Directional Tile (6"), 12"
Thermoplastic Stripe (white), Thermoplastic Pavement Marking (white), Prepare and Stain Concrete, Class 2
Aggregate Base, Selective Tree Protection and Removal, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon, Remove & Reuse Fence
Panel, Remove & Reinstall Fence Gate and Post, Install R49(CA) Signs, Pedestrian Barricade, Paint Red Curb, and All
Material Suppliers.

Items of work may be broken down into economically feasible packages to encourage participation. A 100% payment bond and performance bond will be required. Vanguard will pay bond premium up to 2%. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting the owners requirements and will be required to sign the standard FBD Vanguard Construction, Inc. subcontract agreement.
