Valentine Corporation is seeking certified SBE and DBE subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers & truckers for quotes for all scopes of work and bid items related to this project. Scope of work include but not limited to are; ELECTRICAL, BARGE SUPPORT, HOISTING, RUBBER CAMEL FENDERS, SHOP REPAIRS OF CAMELS, FABRICATION, BLAST AND COATING, PAINT, FIBERGLASS ENPASULATED POLYSYRENE PONTOONS. Please see the list of bid items associated with this project for more information. Please submit quotes by noon on bid day. Valentine is available to discuss breaking out any portion of work to encourage minority participation.

Bonds may be required, if so Valentine Corporation can assist. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and worker's compensation coverage meeting CALTRANS requirements and will be required to sign the standard Valentine Corporation Subcontract Agreement.
