PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS: Drawings and specifications are available at Alan Mok Engineering, Attn: Alan Mok, 3433 W. Shaw Ave, Suite 106, Fresno, CA 93711, (559) 432-6879. A $100.00 deposit made payable to the Palo Verde Union Elementary School District is required for each set, refundable on return of the documents in good condition. BONDING: Zim Industries, Inc. does not require subcontractors to furnish payment or performance bonds as a condition of quoting. Where a bond is required for a particular scope, Zim will pay the bond premium. Zim will assist interested firms in obtaining bonding, lines of credit and insurance, and can arrange supply of materials and equipment where that assistance would enable a firm to participate.
INSURANCE: Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability and Workers' Compensation required, naming Zim Industries, Inc. and the District as additional insureds. Zim will work with firms whose limits fall short of project requirements rather than exclude them.
LABOR COMPLIANCE: Federally funded public works (EPA). Davis-Bacon prevailing wages and certified payroll apply. Current DIR public works registration required per Labor Code section 1725.5. American Iron and Steel (AIS) applies to all iron and steel permanently incorporated into the work — mill certificates required. Current, valid California contractor's license in the appropriate classification required at time of bid.
