The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern (SDVOSBC) Program is administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (U.S. SBA) in order to meet the requirements of legislation mandating that not less than 3 percent of the total value of all government contracting be fulfilled by small businesses owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans.

Certification as such a business is done under the auspices of the SBA by criteria. Once a business is so certified, they may compete among other SDVOSBCs for contracts that are set aside by procuring agencies for such competition, or become eligible for sole-source awarded contracts, contracts under simplified acquisition thresholds, and other forms of set-aside awarding procedures.

Does this local/state program offer reciprocal certifications with other local/state programs? The certification is through the SBA, and differs from the certification offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
