The City of Toledo is hosting an informational meeting regarding the upcoming disparity study it will be conducting. The disparity study will examine the usage of minority- and woman-owned businesses and small businesses in City contracting and attempt to determine whether there is a disparity in usage of such firms relative to their availability. If such a disparity is found, the findings can be used as part of the legal basis for implementing race- and gender-conscious remedies for the disparity.
Feedback from members of the public that is provided at the informational meeting can form a crucial part of the findings of the study itself and those who are interested in sharing feedback on their experience as representatives of minority- and woman-owned businesses are encouraged to attend. The meeting will also provide further information on other ways to participate in the study and provide opportunities for asking questions.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 14th, 2021, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
